Gyeongcheon Island is located upstream of Nakdong River and Sangju Weir, an alluvial island(河中島) of about 200,000㎡. It is an ecological park that surrounds the island and gently flows along the river and Bibongsan cliffs to create a beautiful landscape.

Every spring, rape flowers are in full bloom to announce the beginning of spring, and in the fall, the cosmos and buckwheat flowers are the spectacular tourist attractions of many tourists. At Nakdong River Crane Observatory, the mysterious views of Gyeongcheon Island and Nakdong River can be seen. In particular, at sunset, the sunset over the Gyeongcheon Island and the golden-colored Nakdong River are magnificent.
