Introduction (Details)

Details

The Nakdong River, risen from Hwangji of Taebaeksan and flowing 1,300 liters, is located on Nakdong-myeon of Sangju-si, with the only the name ‘Nakdong’ is given. At Peak, you can see the beautiful scenery of Nakdanbo and Nakdong River at a sight.

It was called Nagaksan because the whole mountain looked like a round conch. It is a small mountain with a height of 240m and as you climb up and down the deck stairs, which are short but slightly steep, you’ll reach the Peak. The Peak has 2 summits, and each has observatory located, so you can see the view of Nakdong River. In between, a 30m Chulleongdari has been installed, adding to the specialty.

There are also unique statues of nature with stories on the mountain trail, such as Sowonbawi and Magwihalmeomgul, that add a little fun. It is the famous beautiful mountain of Sangju - climbing the mountain for the third time will fulfill one’s will, and if people who have no children make a wish in Magwihalmeomgul, where the energy of the mountain and the river are spewing out, will give birth to a son.
