Hamchang Silk Theme Park is a cultural tourism complex created to promote the rich heritage of sericulture and silk production in Hamchang, Korea’s most renowned silk-producing region. Opened in 2013, the park covers an area of 111,390㎡ and features a Silk Theme Plaza, experience facilities, retail shops, silk processing and production facilities, a rose garden, and mulberry tree-lined pathways. Visitors can explore exhibitions and interactive programs centered on silkworms, silk production, and traditional weaving while experiencing the unique lifestyle and culture of Hamchang Silk Village.

One of the park’s most popular attractions is its 18,500㎡ Rose Garden, where approximately 40,000 roses of more than 20 varieties, including Crystal and Blue River, bloom spectacularly from late May to late June each year. The colorful floral landscape and fragrant walking trails make the garden a favorite destination for visitors and photography enthusiasts alike.

Hamchang Silk Theme Park also serves as a vibrant center for cultural tourism and community events. Throughout the year, it hosts a variety of festivals and cultural programs, including the Sangju Slow Life Festival, the flagship festival of Cittaslow Sangju, the Nunnu-nanna Insect Festa featuring silkworms, butterflies, and insects, and the Hanbok Cultural Walk.
